This is a scam call with fake "Crypto.com support" that I participated in. Read the following for full context: 1) I received a SMS message that said: "Your code to whitelist 'Ledger Nano S' is 537292. If you did NOT request this code call us immediately on +420228881938." 2) I called the number, knowing that this is a scam. I wanted to learn their methods and also to waste as much of their time as possible (which is really the only way you can hurt them). 3) What I told them is mostly true. I really have a crypto.com account that I haven't used for many years (but there are no funds in it). 4) I really tried to do everything they instructed me to do (e.g. installing and configuring those Android apps) because I knew that those are official apps and the scammers did not instruct me to do anything that would put me or my funds in danger (so far). 5) During those 55 minutes, they did not manage to do anything that would allow them to gain control of my funds or Crypto.com account, even when I tried hard to accomodate their wishes! They are not very good scammers and they don't actually know how Crypto.com website and apps work. 6) I've reported their phone number and the SMS itself to my phone operator.
