Liberty training for my Ginger team, young Betty's first attempt!

Here is a little video playing about with my ginger team yesterday afternoon. (Custard 18hh Sport horse, Betty 3yr old Noriker draft horse, little ones are Albert, Ernie and young Stanley.) Betty hasn't done any sort of Liberty training before; she is learning through osmosis and through spending time with me and horses that can help shape her behaviour. I don't have a 'method' I like to use; I stick to my principles on how I believe horses should be treated when in a learning situation and then when they understand something and are happy to play along, I no longer need the rope, head collar, bridle etc Liberty isn't proof of a good relationship; a good relationship is proof of a good relationship. Therefore I would say I focus 90% of my time with my horses on their lifestyle, happiness and having great experiences together rather than 'making' them do Liberty. They know what you do for and with them and in return they seem happy to mess about with my funny ideas.
