Somewhere between the 1920s and the 2020s, between electro swing, swing & jazz hop, lounge house and funk, lies “Usual Crowd” — the new album by Giole Marrino, Serbian flutist, guitarist and producer blending vintage swing influences with modern electronic production and live instrumentation. The album presents 12 tracks and 12 characters — ordinary people turned into musical portraits of city life. From “Intro (Around The Corner)”, through the playful “Will You Have A Cigar?”, the energetic “Enthusiast”, dreamy “My Baby”, mysterious “Sweet Honey Boy”, wandering “Casey Jones”, disco-style “Waiting For Tonight”, dynamic “Different”, and the contrasting world of “Nice Is Ugly”, each track captures a different human mood and presence. The project also includes “NightLatch” with Anana’s vocals, alongside its Swing Hop Mix by ProleteR, adding a more groove-driven reinterpretation to the story. All tracks are produced by Giole Marrino, who composes most of the material and plays flute and guitar across the album. The exception is “Nice Is Ugly”, composed and written by Anana, which adds a more direct emotional layer to the record. Her vocals also appear on “NightLatch”, along with its remix by ProleteR. “Usual Crowd” is a collection of everyday faces and fleeting encounters — people you pass without noticing, but never fully forget. #electroswing #newalbum #visualizer #vintageart
