This month, the DPRK celebrated the 78th anniversary of national foundation, with a major street parade through Pyongyang, a concert outside the Pyongyang Assembly Hall, and an oath-taking ceremony by senior government, party, and military figures.
Elsewhere in the country during the month, the Kang Kon Naval Destroyer was formally commissioned in Wonsan, marking the second such commissioning this year.
