Unity HDRP Tutorial - How to setup Fog, Sun Shafts & Lighting (Part 3)
Chapters
Learn how to use volumetric fog and volumetric clouds to create sun shafts, and how to capture your volumetric clouds into a texture for use as a static sky or background clouds. This guide will show you how to set up volumetric fog and render sun shafts in Unity. You will also learn how to capture your sky into a texture map. By the end of the guide, you will be able to create stunning skies with sun shafts and save them as textures for use in projects with performance constraints.
This guide assumes you possess some familiarity with the Unity game engine and use Unity 2021.3.12f1 LTS or above.
This guide also builds onto the concepts discussed in Part 1 and 2 of the "Volumetric Clouds Mastery Series", which we recommend you check out first as fundamental concepts such as terminology, project setup and scene setup won't be discussed in this guide.
