game of the year 2019

this game is so flawed. it has technical issues, glitches, weird visual shit, sometimes shotty writing/performances, etc but it also made me feel shit about video games that I haven't felt in a long time. once the game really opened up, I played it for like 7 hours straight one day. I didn't wanna stop. the 12 year old jakey just wanted to keep finding new ways to fuck up stormtroopers while customizing his lightsaber honestly I didn't care too much about the story at first but once the game hit its second act I actually got mad invested and emotional about it. there's a few REALLY memorable gameplay/story sequences that I won't ever forget I 100%'d the fuck outta the game too. which I haven't done since like bloodborne. and even after 50+ hours of running thru the story, completing all the planets and then dicking around for a while; all I wanna do is boot up the game and do it all over again. Respawn has somehow made me an even bigger star wars fan than I already was. Play it on the hardest difficulty :)
