Being LGBT / BME at university | Life at UCL // Ep7
One of the crucial things about being at university is not only finding a space or indeed spaces to express and develop your ideas and learning, but also to find safe and welcoming spaces to express your identity in all its forms. This episode is about how UCL geography integrates its commitment to welcoming difference in every way, and we’ll hear from a member of staff and some of our students speaking about the importance of fostering safe spaces and welcoming networks for students and staff who have historically been under-represented and indeed often still are.
University has played such an important role in my life. It’s allowed me to become the person that I am today. I’ve partnered with UCL Geography to create a series with 8 episodes to reveal what life is really like whilst studying at UCL.
