I got the incredible opportunity to play T-Bone Walker’s original 1949 Gibson at Regent Sounds on Denmark Street — a genuine piece of electric blues and rock ’n’ roll history.
We uncover the remarkable stories hidden inside the guitar, including evidence of the bullet that passed straight through it while T-Bone was performing, previously unseen details discovered through 3D scanning, and the damage caused by his legendary on-stage acrobatics. Plus, I get to play it and explore a few of the sounds that helped shape electric blues.
