What if enemies didn’t see you… what if they could smell you? In this short, I break down a horror game AI idea I tested in my mascot horror game: instead of the classic enemy detection radius, the player leaves a scent trail over time. The monster (Flopsy) doesn’t detect you with a binary trigger — it tracks the evidence you leave behind. This “smell system” changes stealth completely. You’re not just avoiding line-of-sight… you’re managing your trail, your movement, and the moments you panic-run. If you like creepy AI, unique stealth mechanics, and game design tricks that make horror feel less “game-y,” this one’s for you. #gamedev #horrorgames #indiegames #gameai #stealth #mascothorror #unity #shorts
